Cassia cinnamon is also known as Chinese cassia or Chinese cinnamon belongs to the family Lauraceae. Cinnamon aldehyde, cinnamic alcohol, cinnamic acid, and cinnamate are the major bioactive components present in the inner bark of cinnamon. It is loaded with powerful antioxidants like polyphenols.
