Pausinystalia johimbe is commonly called Yohimbe that belongs to the family Rubiaceae. It is resident in Western and Central Africa. Mainly the bark of the tree is used for many herbal medicines. The major active component of Yohimbe is yohimbine. Yohimbine is an indole alkaloid. Yohimbine is also known as quebrachine. It is a dietary supplement, rich in antioxidants. It has many medicinal values.
