Commonly known as Gokshur or Gokharu or puncture vine that belongs to the family Zygophyllaceae. It is native to Europe, Asia, and Africa. Steroidal saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids, and lignan amides are the major active components present in this plant. This herb is used in preparing dietary supplements. It is a well-known ayurvedic medicine in the early days. It may be good for the immune system, and brain.
