Flavonoids, phytosterol, phenol, tannins, isovitexin, vitexin are the major bioactive components of this plant. It also contains oxalic acid, malic acid, tannic acid, and tartaric acids. This plant has a good nutritional value as it contains vitamin B complex, C, D, E, K, and P, and minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, sulfur, sodium, manganese, zinc, and silicon. Intake of this herb is good for the digestive system, renal systems.
