Also known as a Citrus tangerine and Citrus deliciosa, which belongs to the family of Rutaceae. Tangerine peel contains many bioactive constituents like xanthotoxin, propanoic acid, n-Methyl-D3-Aziridine, 2-Methyl-, Methyle 1,4-diethynylcyclobutene, β-pinene, α-terpinolene, α-pinene, linalool, myrcene, limonene, cytidine, dodecanoic acid, xanthotoxin, 4-venyphenol, acetic acid, vitamin A, C, E and Oxiranemethanol.This peel is a good source of vitamin C that acts as an antioxidant that helps cells against the harmful effects of free radicles. It has benificiary properties for kidney, skin and heart health.
