Rubus idaeus is commonly known as Raspberry, which belongs to the family Rosaceae. This plant is native to Europe. Anthocyanins, flavonols, ellagic and gallic acids are the major bioactive components present in these fruits. This small fruit is very nutritious that contains vitamins like Vitamin A, B complex, C, E, and K and minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, and selenium. Good source of antioxidants that helps in reducing the harmful effects of free radicles. Intake of these fruits is good for the brain, heart, and joint health.
