Commonly known as Stinging nettle, Burn nettle, or Nettle leaf that belongs to the family Urticaceae. It is native to Europe and Noth America. Nettle is widely used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries because of its nutritional value and health benefits. The major active components in Nettle leaves are formic acid, histamine, acetylcholine, xanthophylls, and sitosterol. It also contains vitamins A, B, C, and K and minerals like ferric oxide, potassium, calcium, and silicon. It is rich in antioxidants that protect from free radicals. Intake of nettle leaves is good for joints, skin, kidneys, bones, immune system.

Urtica dioica L. (Urticaceae), also known as stinging nettle, is an herbaceous perennial plant. Because of its wide use, other names are used to define the plant such as nettle leaf or common nettle, it also has different regional names [2].
