Product Use |
Kelp, scientifically known as brown seaweed, thrives in nutrient-rich marine environments, forming underwater forests in shallow waters worldwide, including the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic oceans. Harvested delicately by hand due to its fragility, kelp is valued for its rich nutritional profile.
As a renewable resource, kelp regenerates swiftly post-harvest, rendering it sustainable for food production. However, escalating demand has led to concerns regarding overharvesting of wild populations. To mitigate this, large-scale, sustainable kelp farming practices have emerged, safeguarding wild populations while meeting rising consumer needs for this nutrient-dense seaweed.
