Also known as Ulva, Green algae, and Green nori, which belongs to the family of Ulvaceae. Sea Lettuce is distributed in the coastal area of ocean. Sea Lettuce contains many phytochemical constituents like polysaccharides compounds like xyloglucan, glucuronan, sulfated heteropolymer, L-rhamnose, D-glucuronic acid, D-glucose, D-xylose, L-iduronic acid, aldobiouronic acids, Beta-D-glucuronic acid, phenolic compounds, terpenoids, nitrogen derivatives and mycosporine-like amino acids. Green lettuce contains good source of minerals like vitamin A, K. Intake of the Green Sea Lettuce is good for eye and bone health.
