The main active compounds of Echinacea are caffeic acid derivatives, alkamides and polysaccharides. Among caffeic acid derivatives aome are- caftaric acid, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, echinacoside and cichoric acid, are identified from echinacea extracts.
