The major active components of this fruit are flavonols, anthocyanins, proanthocyanidins, catechins, hydroxycinnamic and other phenolic acids, and triterpenoids. It is a powerhouse of powerful antioxidants. It is a good source of vitamins like thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pyridoxine, vitamin A, C, E, and K, and contains a good amount of minerals like zinc, potassium, iron, and magnesium.
