          Also known as Siraitia and Luo-han-guo, which belongs to the family of Cucurbitaceae. Monk fruit has been used as a low-calorie sweetener which is used in the different drink beverages. Monk fruit contains many phytochemical constituents like aloe emodin, aloe-emodin acetate, 5α,8α-epidioxy-24(R)-methylcholesta-6,22-dien-3β-ol p-hydroxyl benzyl acid, flavandiol, siraitiflavandiol, n-hexadecaoic acid ,12-methyltetradecanoic acid, β-sitosterol, and daucosterol, cucurbitane glycosides, mogroside VI isomer, 11-oxo-24,25-epoxyl cucurbitadienol, monoglycosylated mogrol, dehydrogenated, mogrol didehydrogenated trihydroxylated and mogrol. It is good for throat and stomach health and other health benefits.
