Native to Southern Europe, Milk thistle is also known as blessed Milk thistle, Scotch thistle, and Mary thistle. It is a plant with purple flower and shiny pale green leaves. It mainly consists of silymarine, silibinin, and linoleic acid. Traditionally milk thistle has been used for promoting the health of the gallbladder and liver. It is also known to promote heart health.
