Gotu kola is also known as Indian Penny wort, Brahmi, is a herbacious perennial plant belongs to family Apiaceae. Its stems are slender, creeping, green to reddish green in color. It contains triterpenoid mainly asiaticoside, brahmoside, etc. It is used both for culinary and medicinal purpose. Traditionally, it has been used to treat various disorders and minor wounds.
