Also known as a Coleus forskohlii Briq, Plectranthus barbatus, that belongs to the family of Lamiaceae. Forskolin is extracted from the tuber of Coleus Forskohlii. The phytochemical compounds revealed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, tannins, flavonoids, terpenoids, coumarins, quinines, cardiac glycosides, xanthoproteins, glycosides, steroids, phenols, resins, carboxylic acid group.
