Boswellia serrata is also known as Indian frankincense, Indian oli-banum, Salai guggul and Sallaki in Sanskrit. It is native to India.It contains various derivatives of boswellic acid which includes β-boswellic acid, acetyl-β-boswellic acid, 11-keto-β-boswellic acid and acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid. Resins has been used as folk medicine from centuries. It is believed to help from common inflammatory illness.
