This bacterium is strictly anaerobic. Bifidobacterium lactis is non-motile, lacking structures such as flagella for self-propulsion. Bifidobacterium lactis can be found in various environments. It's often isolated from dairy products. This bacterium is highly adaptable and resilient, allowing it to survive harsh conditions.
