Also known as a Gale of the wind and seed-under-leaf, which belongs to the family of Phyllanthaceae. It is cultivated in the tropical south of India, China, and Bahamas. It contains many essential compounds like saponins, steroidal sapogenin, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, gallic acid, quercetin, terpenoid, alkaloid, tannin, some antioxidant compounds like 2 diphenyl 1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). It is good for the liver, skin, stomach health.
