commonly-known as Gwar Patha or Ghrit Kumari which belongs to the family Asphodelaceae. It is native to Africa, Madagascar, and the Arabian Peninsula. campesterol, β-sitosterol, salicylic acid, flavonoids, terpenoids, lectins, fatty acids, and anthraquinones are major active components present in these leaves. It is very nutritive because it is rich in essential minerals such as calcium, chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, sodium, and zinc and vitamins A, C, E, β-carotene, B1, B2, B3, B6, choline, B12, folic acid. these leaves are a good source of potent antioxidants. It is widely used in the cosmetics industry because of its skin care properties. Intake of this is good for lung, heart, and gut health.
