It is a perennial legume that is native to southern Europe and western Asia. It is believed to be originated from Iraq. One of the most widely found species Glycyrrhiza glabra is found in Turkey, Spain, the Caucasus, Italy, Central Asia, and the western part of China whereas Glycyrrhiza uralensis can be found in China and Central Asia to Mongolia.

Glycyrrhizic acid is a triterpene isolated from the roots and rhizomes of licorice and is the principal bioactive ingredient. We provide licorice extract of various concentrations based on content glycyrrhizic acid varying from 2%,4%,20%, etc.

Different identification methods can be used for the determination of glycyrrhizic acid in licorice extract. The identification method used in this extract is Gravimetry.

We can provide licorice extract with various concentrations of glycyrrhizic acid.DGL is a form of licorice where a substantial amount of glycyrrhizin is removed for long-term use and safe use. DGL licorice extract is different from licorice extract 20%glycyrrhizic acid. We can provide both types of licorice extract and both are safe for human consumption.

More Moisture content increases the risk of microbial contamination. We provide moisture content below 5% in our product which ensures better control of microbial growth and in turn, increased shelf life.
