Guarana, a climbing plant native to the Amazon region of Brazil, thrives in tropical climates with abundant rainfall and rich, well-drained soil. The plant matures and starts producing fruit in approximately three years.
Harvesting occurs by hand between February and May when the fruits are ripe. The main edible part, the seeds, are extracted, washed, and dried. The seeds are then roasted to enhance flavor and remove excess moisture before being ground into a fine powder for various applications.
