DL-Choline Bitartrate is a water-soluble choline salt that combines choline with bitartrate (tartaric acid) to enhance stability, absorption, and bioavailability. Choline is an essential water-soluble nutrient that plays a critical role in several physiological functions, including brain development, neurotransmitter synthesis, liver function, and lipid metabolism.
Since free choline is unstable and hygroscopic, it is often bound to bitartrate to form a stable, crystalline powder with improved shelf life and ease of formulation in dietary supplements, functional foods, pharmaceuticals, and animal nutrition.
