Cucumber is a creeping vine belongs to family cucurbitaceae, native to south Asia. Fruits are cylindrical, elongated, having 95% water. It is notable only for vitamin K content that is 16% and having low amounts of minerals. Cucurbitacins give slightly bitter taste to cucumber.
