Production typically begins with cultivating Chanca piedra in warm, humid climates with well-drained soil and adequate sunlight. Seeds are either sown directly in the soil or started in nurseries before being transplanted to fields or gardens. The plant grows vigorously and requires minimal maintenance once established.Harvesting usually occurs when Chanca piedra reaches maturity, which can vary depending on growing conditions but generally occurs within a few months to a year after planting. The aerial parts of the plant, including leaves, stems, and sometimes roots, are carefully hand-harvested.
