The active components in Rhubarb root are anthraquinones, dianthrones, naphthalins, stilbenes, galloyglucoses, anthocyanins, flavonoids, polyphenols, organic acids, and acylglucose. It is also a good source of powerful antioxidants such as emodin, aloe-emodin, rhein, and physcion. It has a great nutritional value because it is rich in folates, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine), thiamin, pantothenic acid, vitamin K, vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and also minerals. consumption of this root is good for kidney, heart, and gut health.
