Passionflower is also known as Passiflora or Passion vines of the Passifloraceae family. This flower is mainly native to the southeastern United States. Chrysin, vitexin, coumerin, and umbelliferone are the major active components found in the flowers of the vine tree. This flower is a good source of vitamin C, beta carotene, and polyphenols that act as potent antioxidants. These antioxidants protect cells from unstable free radicles.
