Cardamom is recognized by their small seed pods with thin papery outer layer and small black seeds. The pods are light green and smaller. It is native to Indian subcontinent and Indonesia. These are used as flavourings and cooking spices in both food and drink. Cardamom powder used as a spice and in medicine too. The essential oil content in seeds are dependent on storage condition.
