Noni fruit belongs to coffee family, Rubiaceae. It is also known as great morinda, Indian mulberry, cheese fruit etc. It has a strong odor and contains carbohydrate and fiber and micronutrients like Vitamin C, niacin, potassium, iron. Vitamin A, calcium and sodium are present in moderate amount. Phytochemicals like lignan, oligo and polysaccharides, flavonoids, bita sitosterol are present. It has been used as a traditional medicine and used as supplement too.
