Cinnamon is a plant belongs to family Lauracea. It is a spice made from inner bark of several species of cinnamomum genus. It is mainly used for its aroma. Its aroma and flavor derived from its essential oil and from its main phytochemical constituents like cinnamaldehyde. It is native to India, Srilanka, Myanmar and Bangladesh. It has been used as a traditional medicine as a digestive system aid.
