Beta glucans are naturally occurring in the cell wall of Cereals, bacteria, fungi, dependent upon source it differ with physiochemical properties. This was first discovered in Lichen and then in barley. Technically, these are chains of D-glucose polysaccharides, linked by B-type glycosidic bond. These may help in reducing the risk of Cardiovascular disease.
